Marlow is a 3/4 capri with a split hem at the calf. The opening releases tension across the widest part of the leg, so the fabric drapes instead of gripping, and the cropped length stops just below the knee.
The fold over waistband adjusts the rise without changing the fit anywhere else. Rolled down it sits low and relaxed, folded up it covers higher and holds firmer, which lets a single pair work across body changes and across the day. There is no drawcord or elastic seam to press into the waist, so nothing digs in when seated.
Polyester broadcloth carries the whole garment. It is a tight, evenly woven cloth with a smooth face that resists pilling at the inner thigh, the first place lighter knits fail. The slight stretch built into the weave returns to shape after wear instead of relaxing at the knee, and the fabric breathes and dries fast enough for warm weather use without going sheer.
